I was inspired to set it up when I went to a party to celebrate the 1st birthday of Homespun Living in St Albans. Helen had set up lots of activities that adults could do by themselves or working with children. My son absolutely loved it. We made a mini heart cushion together and he takes it to bed with him…..
Make With Me is going to be run once a month in Harpenden Trust Hall on a Saturday (currently mornings but this may change). Each session will have a different topic. The first session is 15th June 10.30am to midday.
The group is for children aged 4 plus to come to with their parents. If you have a skill you can share then you can have a free session for your child.
The first one is fabric so we will be painting bags and pencil cases (possible fathers day presents), weaving and making pretty (or boyish) things out of fabric including fridge magnets.
Other planned sessions will look at decoupage, felting, sewing, knitting, french knitting, marbling, jewelry making and lots more.
